GPS and Software Links have reached an agreement to create an expanded systems integration business.

GPS has acquired a significant shareholding in Software Links, bringing together the two software engineering teams to establish a comprehensive technical capability geared up for large SI projects.

The company will trade as GPS Links, providing systems integration for PLC, SCADA, and distributed control systems.

Software Links founder Jason Donovan becomes Technical Director, with responsibility for the SI teams located at offices in Bristol and Baglan, South Wales.

Both companies have a long history in process and factory automation as well as building management systems and power management systems, with extensive experience in the water and energy sectors.

GPS Managing Director Nigel Harrison said “We have worked alongside Software Links for many years, from here we will deliver hardware and software as one from design up. The new team has a strong mix of common and complementary skills that will allow us to target larger systems integration projects and take us in to new industry sectors.”
