GPS has always been an innovator and early adopter of new technologies, in 1999 we introduced Siemens Simocode to produce the first intelligent MCC in the municipal water sector.
Today we incorporate the latest compact starters, variable speed drives and communications technologies to extract every incremental improvement in reliability, energy efficiency and data.
Applying the ‘smarter faster cheaper’ philosophy to our next generation of MCC’s we continue to focus on reducing the size of equipment modules, increasing device density and improving user features.
This thinking was the driving force behind our breakthough G-Flex Modular range of fully reconfigurable MCCs with extended operating life.
GPS operates a rigorous quality regime underwritten by independent accreditation and testing.
All our products are fully compliant with BS EN 61439. Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001-2015.
We hold extensive certification including short circuit withstand to 20kA/1sec, 50kA/1sec and 80kA/1sec, ingress protection to IP54 and temperature rise to 5000A.
Electrical testing and build control checks are carried out at every stage from sub-assembly to final commissioning, and we operate a dedicated FAT test unit.
We have also invested in our own temperature rise facilities to prove our designs and provide assurance for our customers.
With in-house design, manufacturing and systems integration capabilities GPS has the ability to deliver faster build times.
Fabrication is central to our proposition both in terms of construction and the scope for customization. 3D solid modelling and CNC precision ensure tolerances that allow designers to innovate confident in the knowledge that unique structures and configurations will be right first time on site.
Design and software development times can also be speeded up by employing standard templates from a library of over 250 designs, from basic distribution boards to full motor control centres, and more than 150 fully tested function blocks

Health and Safety
Safety is always our first consideration, we have an excellent record and an uncompromising commitment to high standards.
As an off-site manufacturer we control more than 95% of identifiable SHE risks on our own premises, our HGV transport complies with the latest public safety codes, and we carefully plan delivery and commissioning work to minimise our time on site and ensure all parties ‘live’ our RAMS.
Our SHE procedures are certified to UKAS OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.
We take a collaborative can-do approach to customer service and project management.
Understanding the natural tensions between fixed schedules and evolving scope, we aim to flag problems early and work closely with our customers to keep projects moving, minimise the scope for variations, and resolve issues intelligently without recourse to the contract.
Sometimes it’s how we deal with problems and fix things when they go wrong that makes the difference.
Customer service is a documented process under our UKAS ISO 9001 quality management system.
