Electrical Design Engineer

Electrical Design Engineer required within our Bristol based manufacturing facility. We are a control systems specialist offering great working conditions, up to date technology and to be part of a multinational organisation. GPS is part of the Ross-Shire Engineering Group, which has 5 control companies and 12 other complementary businesses within the group.
The role will be suited to experienced electrical design engineers; a background in control systems and high-volume manufacturing would be advantageous but all skilled electrical design engineers will be considered. Ideally you will have CAD experience but any of working with WSCAD or AutoCAD would be beneficial.
The core function of the role will be producing 2D mechanical drawings and electrical schematics. You will form part of the whole design and development process, this will include involvement in initial specification meetings, assuming design responsibility for the electrical elements of the project. You will have a good commercial awareness with the ability to work to planned timescales, play a key role in project progress meetings with engineering management and assist technically on the build phase of the project.
