GPS has added three new variants to its G-Flex range, and confirmed that it will offer modular for the same price as fixed pattern steelwork.
The extended range includes 600mm (depth), 800mm, 900mm and 1100mm standard units in front and rear access for current ratings up to 6300A – providing an off the shelf solution for a broad cross section of Form 4 motor control requirements.
The pricing structure, which reflects economies of scale following successful uptake from launch in 2015, offers customers the opportunity to select modular at no extra cost.
G-Flex provides a flexible solution for managing through-life equipment changes that help to maintain efficiency, reduce redundancy, and extend the life of the asset.
Flexibility also means cost savings for OEMs as well as end users, especially during build and commissioning where otherwise costly design or specification changes can be managed more efficiently.
The ability to change the internal structure without any physical alterations to the steelwork, combined with the strength of a fully welded external structure, allows 90% of the enclosure to be reused, potentially extending the operational life of the MCC by up to 50%, contributing to reduced whole life costs.
GPS Managing Director Nigel Harrison said “modular can save a lot of money for process operators and equipment manufacturers; by expanding our range we now have a product for most applications and pricing that provides a cost neutral opportunity to consider G-Flex”.
